Every once in a while, you get handed a project so rich in history it takes your breath away. The Gainsborough Bath Spa is a "Grade Two Listed" building opened in 1875 for patients coming to Bath for the waters. During the research phase Sylvia was privileged to have access to the Bath City archives to see the original plans and read through the history of this UNESCO World Heritage city.

The thermal waters are tapped from the same springs as the ancient Roman Baths a block away.

About ten feet below the replicated floor mural in the gallery lays a portion of the original mural dating back to the time of the Romans.
