When Sylvia visited The Dolder Grand in 2004, she was in awe of the charming castle on the hill. Once inside she experienced classic Swiss hospitality. Opened in 1899, the hotel was like a glamorous grandmother who still wore rouge but her fur was a bit tattered. The first day in Zurich Sylvia went to a thrilling champagne infused Polo Match and was then gobsmacked by Street Parade. As she fell asleep at midnight the last throbs of techno music made their way to the mountain and she thought "All my notions of the Swiss people and Heidi are gone".
